The Hong Kong-Macau-Pearl River Delta Development Information Net is developed jointly by the Task Force on Hong Kong - Pearl River Delta Development of the University of Hong Kong and the Centre for Studies of Hong Kong, Macau and Pearl River Delta of Sun Yat-sen University with the following aims:

To provide a one-stop easy-to-use service for business executives, SME, government officials, academics, and anyone in Hong Kong, Macau, the PRD and the world who are looking for information and reference materials on the development of the region;
To become an information hub for HK-Macau-PRD related research materials and database developed by public bodies, universities and research organizations throughout the HK-PRD regions.

The information portal will cover all spatial units of PRDR. The content for each spatial unit is divided into six main sections and each of these sections includes statistic table and hyperlinks into the related content providers. The six main sections are: 1) Statistic Data; 2) Tourism, Transport and Maps; 3) Planning, Infrastructure and Construction; 4) Socio-Economic Development; 5) Government; and 6) Research. This portal can help to search for information that are needed for doing business in Hong Kong, Macau and the PRD.
