For close to 20 years, CUPUM has been one of the premier international conferences for the exchange of ideas and applications of computer technologies to address a range of different social and environmental problems.

Welcome to Hong Kong

The CUPUM International Conference, first held in 1989 in Hong Kong, has been held in many great cities around the world including Oxford (1991), Atlanta (1993), Melbourne (1995), Mumbai (1997), Venice (1999), Honolulu (2001), Sendai (2003), London (2005) and Iguassu Falls (2007). Selected papers of the conferences have been published in special issues of Environment and Planning B and Computers, Environment and Urban Systems. We are very pleased to announce that the Centre of Urban Studies and Urban Planning of the University of Hong Kong will be organizing the 11th International Conference on Computers in Urban Planning and Urban Management (CUPUM) from 16-18 June 2009 to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
